Fun and Interesting MLB Promotional Item Giveaways

March is here, which means baseball season filled with promotional giveaways like bobble heads, souvenir bats, hats,
and pennants is right around the corner. The Shumsky Promotional Buzz wanted to take a look at some of the most interesting and fun promotional giveaways that will be going on at MLB stadiums throughout the year.
2013 MLB promotional item giveaways

    • *The Detroit Tigers will be giving the first 10,000 fans a commemorative coin representing the 45th anniversary of their 1968 World Series Championship at a May 25th game against the Twins.
    • *The Cleveland Indians will be giving away replicas of the Indians Hall of Fame plaque of slugger Rocky Colavito at their June 22nd game against the Angels.
    • *The Arizona Diamondbacks will be doing several interesting promotional giveaways this season. The first is a Wade Miley Garden Gnome giveaway to the first 20,000 fans at their April 27th game against the Rockies. They will also be giving away Luchador masks and Luchador capes at July 27th and September 15th games respectively, to celebrate the large Hispanic population in Arizona.
    • *To celebrate their 7th World Series Championship the San Francisco Giants will be giving out replica World Series rings made from metal to the first 40,000 fans through the gates, the same day Giants players will receive their rings in a pre-game ceremony. Additionally, the Giants will be giving away orange, black, white, and grey plaid fedoras and orange sombreros at August 24th and September 7th games respectively.
    • *In honor of one of their most beloved players, Coco Crisp, the Oakland A’s will be giving away Coco Crisp Cereal Bowls at their June 2nd game against the White Sox.
    • *Last but not least on our list is the Seattle Mariners, with perhaps the most unique and funny promotional item giveaway. The Mariners will have the first ever “Beard Hat Night” on April 26th against the Angels. The first 20,000 fans will receive a beard hat, which consists of a ski cap with faux facial hair, the next day they will give out full-size Louisville Slugger bats to kids 14 and under.
